What it is
What is Bundle of Joy?
Bundle of Joy is a baby tracker two parents share. Log a feed in about three seconds, one-handed, and it’s on your partner’s phone with your name on it.
What can we log?
Feeds (bottles in ml or oz, breastfeeding by side, solids by food), diapers (pee, poop or both), medicine with the dose, and weight, height and head circumference. Premium adds sleep, bath, tummy time, temperature and a photo on any entry. You can backdate anything and add a note.
Can I bring data from another app?
No, there’s no import, so you start fresh with the next feed. Your old app keeps your old records, and your baby’s measurements only take a minute to type in.
What does the Today screen show?
How long since the last feed and the last diaper, with today’s totals, plus your latest medicine or sleep. That’s “when did she last eat?” answered at a glance.
Does it give advice?
No. It shows you what you logged, and that’s it: no tips, no articles, no AI, no “your baby should”. The big calls stay with you and your pediatrician.
Accounts and phones
Do we both need an account?
Yes, one each. You invite your partner with a link, so nobody shares a password, and every entry shows who logged it.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Open app.bundleofjoy.love in Safari and add it to your Home Screen. It opens full-screen and does everything the Android app does except the widget. The App Store app is on its way, and your account and everything you’ve logged come with you.
How do I sign in?
With your email address, or with your Google or Facebook account. Pick email and we’ll send you a code to type in. No password to remember.
What happens to our log when I get a new phone?
Nothing’s lost. Your log lives in your account, not on the phone, so sign in on the new one and it’s all there. Your partner’s phone doesn’t notice a thing. Logged something with no signal that hasn’t sent yet? Open the app on the old phone once it’s online, and it sends. Free shows your last 7 days and keeps everything older; Premium shows all of it.
What languages does it come in?
English and Portuguese, the two we speak at home, then Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Turkish, Indonesian and Arabic. Portuguese comes as written in Portugal and as written in Brazil.
Sharing
When does my partner see what I log?
Pretty much straight away. With both apps open, it shows up on their phone within a few seconds. App closed? It’s waiting for them when they open it. No signal on your end? Your phone hangs on to it and sends it as soon as you’re back online with the app open, or the next time you open it.
Why doesn’t it notify me when my partner logs something?
Because at 3AM a buzz for every bottle is the last thing either of you needs. The log updates while you’re looking at it and is there whenever you open the app. The only sounds are the reminders you switch on yourself. (On Android, a running feed timer sits quietly in the notification shade.)
I was sent an invite link. Should I sign up on my own instead?
No, open the link. It puts you straight into their family, with everything they’ve logged already there. Already signed up? The link still works as long as you haven’t added a baby. If you have, you’ve started a separate family of your own.
Can I add a grandparent or a nanny?
Yes, with Premium: grandparents, a nanny, anyone you invite. Free fits two people, and Premium takes the limit off.
Can I track more than one baby?
Yes, with Premium. Twins, or a second baby later: each one gets their own timeline, charts and reminders. Tap the baby’s name at the top of the screen to switch.
Offline and speed
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Log as normal. With no signal it’s saved on your phone and sent when you’re back online, and it pops up on your partner’s phone as soon as it sends. You just need to be online the first time you sign in.
Is dark mode free?
Yes. Pick light, dark, or whatever your phone uses. The dark theme is warm, so it won’t blind you at 3AM.
Is there a home screen widget?
Yes, in the Android app, and it’s free. It shows how long since the last feed and diaper, ticking every minute, with the time it happened beside it. Your partner’s logs show up on it within about 15 minutes, even with the app closed. With Premium, you log from it too, without opening the app: every type you track, with the same amounts, sides, doses and notes as the app. Tap 120 ml and it’s saved, with Undo if your thumb slipped. Photos stay in the app. Twins get a widget each. There’s no widget in the browser version. On a Wear OS watch, the tile shows the same two times, and logging from it is free.
Is there a watch app?
Yes, for Wear OS, and it’s free. A tile shows how long since the last feed and the last diaper, counting up, and the watch app adds who logged each. A watch-face complication keeps the time since the last feed in view. Logging is two taps from the tile: bottle, left, right or both for a feed, pee, poop or both for a diaper, with Undo. No signal? It saves on the watch and sends later. Your partner’s logs reach it within seconds, or within about 15 minutes if the push is held up. Pair it once with a code you approve on your phone. Twins? Pick the twin on the watch. Any watch on Wear OS 4 or later works: Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch4 and newer. Apple Watch? Not yet.
Price
Is it free?
Yes. No card, no countdown, no end date. Free covers two people and one baby, with feeds, diapers, medicine and growth measurements, reminders, the WHO growth charts and the pediatrician report, dark mode, offline logging, CSV export, the Android widget with the last feed and diaper, and the Wear OS watch app. Your last 7 days stay on screen, and nothing older is ever deleted.
Do both parents pay?
No. Premium is per family. One subscription covers everyone in it.
What happens to entries older than 7 days on the free plan?
Older entries stay saved. Free shows your last 7 days in the app; Premium lets you view your full history. Your CSV export includes every entry on either plan.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Google Play or the web checkout, wherever you subscribed. You keep your account and everything you logged, and go back to Free.
Can I get a refund?
Depends where you paid. Google Play purchases go through Google Play. Subscribed on the web? Email hello@bundleofjoy.love.
Growth charts and percentiles
What does the 10th percentile mean?
It means that out of every hundred children of the same age and sex, ten measure less than yours and ninety measure more. It’s a position, not a score: the 50th is just the middle, and healthy children can be on any percentile.
Is the 10th percentile a problem?
A chart can’t tell you that, and we won’t pretend it can. The number shows where one measurement sits among children of the same age on one day. Your pediatrician reads the pattern over several visits, alongside feeding, development and everything else they know about your baby. If a number worries you, ask them.
Why did my baby’s percentile change between visits?
Usually because measuring a small child is tricky. With a wriggling baby, two people can get lengths a centimeter apart, minutes apart, and a full diaper weighs about a hundred grams. At two years the measurement also switches from lying down to standing, which reads about 0.7 cm shorter. And a percentile compares your baby with other children, so it moves as they all grow.
Is this the WHO chart or the CDC chart?
The WHO Child Growth Standards, birth to 60 months, for girls and boys separately. The WHO charts show how healthy, breastfed children grow in good conditions across six countries. The CDC charts show how American children measured in national surveys. The CDC itself recommends the WHO charts for the first two years, so for babies under two, both point to the same chart.
Why does the chart switch from length to height at two years?
Because the measurement changes. Under two, babies are measured lying down (length). From two, they stand (height), and the same child reads about 0.7 cm shorter standing. So the WHO publishes two tables, and the chart uses length up to 24 months and height from 25.
Where do you measure a baby’s head?
Around the widest part: above the eyebrows and ears, and around the back where the head sticks out most. Use a soft tape, pull it snug, and write down the biggest of two or three tries.
Why does the growth chart stop at five years?
Because the WHO standards stop at 60 months. After five, growth is followed on a different reference (in the US, the CDC charts for two to twenty), and your pediatrician will already be using it.
Do I need an account to use the growth chart calculator?
No. The calculator runs in your browser: nothing’s uploaded, nothing’s stored, no sign-up. The app is where you keep the history and get the pediatrician report, but the chart itself is free for anyone.
Privacy and data
Do you show ads or sell my data?
No and no. We count which screens get used and where things break, never with your baby’s name, notes, photos or measurements, and we don’t build profiles of you.
Who can see my baby’s data?
Your family, and nobody else. The database itself keeps each family’s data walled off from every other family’s.
Where is my baby’s data stored?
On Supabase, which runs on Amazon Web Services in Ireland: your entries in its database and any photos in its file storage, encrypted on the way there and while stored. Each family’s data is walled off from every other family’s inside the database itself. Anything you log with no signal waits on your phone until it sends.
Can I export everything?
Yes, as a CSV, whenever you like, on the free plan too. Settings, then Data & Privacy.
Can I delete everything?
Yes, right from the app: Settings, Data & Privacy, Delete My Account. If you’re the only one in the family, that deletes the family, the babies and every entry. If someone else is still in it, the family stays with them: your login goes, and the entries you logged stay in the family under the admin’s name. We keep a record of the deletion, with your email address.
